HONG KONG - Tao Painting Gallery(TPG) has the pleasure to exhibit On-The-Go, the first solo show of photographs by Oscar Venhuis.

Oscar Venhuis is a self-taught photographer who was born in Seoul, adopted and raised in the Netherlands , and worked in Amsterdam, London, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing. When not taking pictures, he creates brand strategies at his Hong Kong studio OSCARICHARD.

His work is bold and linear. Strongly in"uenced by architectural patterns. In 2010 Oscar purchased a smart phone. Since then he has captured instant images from Hong Kong while walking between his business appointments. One-The-Go is an exhibition that blends instant photography with sharp typography.

“People have the impression that Hong Kong is a fast-moving and manic urban jungle,“ Oscar said, “my photos show a different side of Hong Kong. Amidst the hustle and bustle is an oasis that is serene and quaint. On-The-Go takes you on a journey to rediscover the mystifying contours of Hong Kong.“

Oscar Venhuis studied at the Hogeschool voor Kunsten Arnhem, the Royal College of Art in London, and completed a Masters with distinction in Design Management.
